About the Institut de l’entreprise

INSTITUT DE L'entreprise

The Institut de l’entreprise is a non-profit, non-partisan business-led public policy think tank. We conduct research on major economic and social issues and actively inform and engage the business community in an effort to achieve policy reform for the good of the nation.

Membership is made up of some 130 major French and foreign corporations.

Since its inception in 1975, the Institut de l’entreprise has addressed national priorities that promote sustained economic growth and social development. These activities have helped shape the future on issues ranging from competitiveness, labor market, education, fiscal health to corporate governance. The Institut de l’entreprise’s research findings are coupled with multipronged outreach efforts to achieve tangible impact at the local and national levels.

The Institut de l’entreprise is a Trustee-directed organization. Trustees not only determine what our priorities should be; they also participate in the committees which produce the policy statements containing our findings and recommendations. Our Trustees are chairmen, presidents, and senior executives of major French and foreign corporations. Unique among French business organizations, the Institut de l’entreprise offers senior executives a nonpolitical forum for exploring critical long-term issues and making an impact on policy decisions. The Institut de l’entreprise is proud of its reputation as a group of business leaders committed to improving the growth and productivity of the French economy and greater opportunity for all citizens. The Institut de l’entreprise’s Trustees understand that business, government, and individuals are jointly responsible for our collective prosperity
